These photos depict some of the more unusual and interesting glaze combinations we have at Silvermine. Below are pieces both successful and unsuccessful, with notes describing why. Most of the time the glazes are dipped. The work is fired to cone 10-11 in a gas kiln with fairly heavy reduction. Some of the glazes are very reactive to the firing, including the weather for that day. So these combinations cannot always be reproduced exactly. You need the kiln gods on your side.
